Why a money box is a good baby gift

Money boxes always make lovely and thoughtful baby gifts. Especially silver ones that may be given at a christening. Silver is traditionally given as a christening gift. It can be anything silver that is a keepsake.

One of the reasons a money box is such a good gift is because they can help a baby or child get a saving fun under way. Empty all of your spare change into it, and already the child feels like they have some savings. This gives them value, and makes them feel they already have money they own.

You can encourage them to save more by 'earning' 50 pences for doing housework and get them to add their coins into their money box.
